摘要:

目的 研究健康成人在不同年齡段的功能特點(diǎn)可以更好地理解人腦的老化過(guò)程,Hurst 指 數(shù)可以測(cè)量靜息態(tài)功能磁共振成像時(shí)間序列的復(fù)雜度。 既往對(duì)大腦復(fù)雜度隨年齡變化的研究,還存在 樣本量小、未考慮復(fù)雜度的動(dòng)態(tài)變化等局限性。 因而有必要在大樣本被試上通過(guò)刻畫(huà)復(fù)雜度的動(dòng)態(tài)變 化特性,來(lái)研究人腦隨年齡變化的規(guī)律。 方法 選擇 19~ 80 歲的 458 名健康成人靜息態(tài)功能磁共振成像 數(shù)據(jù),劃分為青年組(n = 213)、中年組(n = 142)和老年組(n = 103),通過(guò)滑窗法來(lái)計(jì)算動(dòng)態(tài) Hurst 指數(shù), 并進(jìn)一步提取其平均值、標(biāo)準(zhǔn)差和變異系數(shù)特征來(lái)描述人腦的動(dòng)態(tài)復(fù)雜度水平和波動(dòng)程度,最后通過(guò)統(tǒng) 計(jì)分析來(lái)評(píng)判不同年齡組被試的復(fù)雜度差異。 結(jié)果 在平均值特征上,雙側(cè)顳上回、雙側(cè)島回、右側(cè)扣帶 回和雙側(cè)腹中側(cè)枕葉皮層的復(fù)雜度隨年齡增長(zhǎng)而降低,而雙側(cè)眶回和左側(cè)楔前葉的復(fù)雜度則隨年齡的 增長(zhǎng)而呈現(xiàn)出倒 U 形變化;在標(biāo)準(zhǔn)差和變異系數(shù)特征上,老年組在右側(cè)楔前葉的動(dòng)態(tài)復(fù)雜度顯著大 于青年組和中年組。 結(jié)論 人腦老化過(guò)程中全腦復(fù)雜度動(dòng)態(tài)變化模式并不一致,且在不同的年齡段 上,局部腦區(qū)存在不同的組間統(tǒng)計(jì)顯著差異模式。 該結(jié)果可以為研究者理解正常老化的功能機(jī)制提 供幫助。

Objective It can better help to understand the aging process of human brain by studying the functional characteristics of healthy adults at different ages. Hurst exponent can measure the complexity of resting?state functional magnetic resonance imaging ( rs?fMRI) time series. Previous studies on the change of brain complexity with age still have some limitations,such as small sample size and ignoring the dynamic change of complexity. Therefore,it is necessary to study the changing characteristics of the aging brain by measuring the dynamic changes of complexity in a large sample size. Methods By using the rs?fMRI data from 458 healthy adults aged 19 to 80,we firstly divided the subjects into the young group (n = 213),the middle?aged group (n = 142) and the elderly group (n = 103). The dynamic Hurst exponent was then calculated by the sliding window method,and its mean value,standard deviation and coefficient of variation were further extracted to describe the level of dynamic complexity and fluctuation degree of the human brain. Finally,the complexity differences of groups with different ages were analyzed by statistical analysis. Results For the mean value,the complexity of bilateral superior temporal gyrus, bilateral insular gyrus, right cingulate gyrus and bilateral ventral middle occipital cortex could decrease with age, while the complexity of bilateral orbital gyrus and left precuneus showed an inverted U?shaped change with age. For the standard deviation and coefficient of variation, the dynamic complexity of the right precuneus in the elderly group was significantly higher than that in the young group and middle?aged group. Conclusions During the normal aging of the human brain,the dynamic change patterns of complexity in the whole brain are not consistent, and there are different statistically significant difference patterns among different age groups in certain local brain regions. Our results can help to improve the understanding of the functional mechanism of brain aging.
