To improve the accuracy of electronic blood pressure monitor, a novel blood pressure
measuring device of combining auscultatory method and oscillometry was presented. First,
hardware framework based on electret microphone and capacitive pressure sensor was designed
for research work on measurement procedures and signal processing. Second, time-domain
window function based on statistics was employed to amplify the intensity of Korotkoff
sound selectively. Then, an integrated calculation logic combining the accuracy of
auscultatory method and the stability of oscillometry was recommend. Finally, the advance
of this novel device wa improved by clinical experiments. Results showed that relationship
between pulse wave and Korotkoff sound was able to be utilized for improving the accuracy
of automatic blood pressure measurement.
